3. Enrobing: The top of the enrobing machine has a reservoir or trough into which the chocolate is poured. The item is totally covered in chocolate as it travels through a curtain or cascade of streaming chocolate. A smooth, even coating is achieved when the extra chocolate drips off.

4. Cool air is circulated to solidify and set the chocolate coating while the coated products move down a cooling tunnel or conveyor belt after being enrobed. By doing this, the chocolate is guaranteed to keep its form and consistency.

5. Additional toppings or decorations are optional. Depending on the final product required, nuts, sprinkles or drizzles may be added to the freshly enrobed products before the chocolate sets.

6. Packaging: Once the chocolate coating has completely hardened, the goods can be packaged for sale or further distribution, either individually or in bulk.
